Day 2: In The Books

What struck me most today was the warmth and connection with my fellow humans.  COVID thrust us into a time where we were bereft of physical contact and new relationships were hard to build.  This trip is the first time since COVID that I’ve been in an environment where a large group of (largely) strangers are together for a common purpose.  I love that so much.  Being a borderline introvert, I love humans, but I need a “device” to connect (Please Lord don’t ever make me attend another chamber mixer - I am the worst with networking).  Working together on a shared project is my #1 way to feel comfortable connecting.

I love the shared purpose, the easy interactions, the quick humor and lighthearted banter.  The spark of life is blazing around me and I feel awed and humbled.

Tonight, we’re all happily exhausted, including this blogger, so I’ll let the photos communicate the delight and energy and enthusiasm of the day.  Along with a survey of my fellow travelers and their impression of how their first day went.

A blast!
